German Wine Tasting - July 12, 2009

On a beautiful summer afternoon, approximately 70 Friends of Friedrichshafen members and guests attended an event that we hope will become a regular date on the FOF calendar. Against the backdrop of the scenic Illinois River valley, five varieties of German wines were served, as was a bounty of mouth-watering appetizers and treats to complement the wines. Above the clinking of wine glasses, one could tell from the good natured conversation and the regular laughter, that this was a gathering of friends.

“It was good to see so many longtime members, along with a few new faces,” said FOF President Karen Robb. “And we cannot possibly thank our host enough. Albert Zeller’s home is beautiful, the setting magnificent, and his hospitality warm, welcoming and genuine. We are fortunate indeed to count such a generous member among the Friends of Friedrichshafen.”
